duking it out at say Bronze or Silver ranks (and with a wider, full player base at launch some of the queuing kinks at beta should iron out). Imho that is inaccurate and ends up generalising the PvP environment for DI negatively (in particular for those who never got a chance to test the game), because you could still have a lot of fun e.g. I'm specifically responding to your comment about avoiding PvP at all costs if you're not the best because one would be at disadvantage (and hence covered the various PvP options, including Vault). In the event an overpowered player queues into your match, you have a 50/50 chance of being on the same or opposing team - so your match quality should even out over time.Īs for Arena (free for all pvp area that pops at specific times and gives a reward to the winner) - let's see if they make changes balancing it out a little better (eg H3 para dudes shouldn't be able to enter H1 arena)įor Shadow Vault - you're meant to be up against the Immortals - so if you are underpowered then they are actually meant to gank you hard (as the reigning "champs") You will still have heaps of fun battling it out with 15 other players on the field at your same rank. If you are not slogging out with the best, sure you will not achieve a high rank and / or earn any rewards - but the current BG ladder system will quickly group you to fight against players that are around your skill/power level (but for the occasional top tier player that started the BG season late, or BGs infrequently) so you won't be at a disadvantage.
